Pastor John Kennedy and First Lady Tennille Kennedy

December 16, 2011

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 1 Corinthians 9:22 {NIV}

Pastor John M. Kennedy, Jr.  possesses a contagious spirit of generosity and servanthood that flows through every facet of his ministry. Receiving his mandate from God, Pastor Kennedy obediently served while fulfilling his calling as the Senior Pastor of New Birth Metro Worship Center. Equipped to move forward in ministry, Pastor Kennedy received his license to minister in 1994 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and ordained as an Elder in February 2009. In 2006, Pastor Kennedy was appointed by Bishop Eddie L. Long, Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, as the Director of Evangelism, and then promoted to Sr. Director of Outreach in 2009.

Tennille L. Kennedy has been involved in ministry for more than a decade and has served alongside her husband, Pastor John M. Kennedy, Jr.  throughout their entire marriage. As an insightful speaker, she draws heavily from her background in education in addition to her ministry of music. A soft spoken, yet firm woman, First Lady Kennedy is affectionately known as a loving psalmist who has a heart for people. With an open heart, she possesses the ability to reach the masses and stir up lives outside of the four walls which assists in the enrichment of her husband’s ministry.

Pastor Kennedy and his wife Tennille are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Lydia and Abigail.
